Edvige Giunta was born in Sicily and moved to the United States in 1984. She is associate professor of English at New Jersey City University. She is the author of Writing with an Accent: Contemporary Italian American Women Authors (Palgrave, 2002) and Dire l'indicibile: Memoir di autrici italo americane (University of Siena, 2002), and co-editor, with Louise DeSalvo of The Milk of Almonds: Italian American Women Writers on Food and Culture (Feminist Press, 2002). She has co-edited the forthcoming anthology Italian America Writers on New Jersey (Rutgers University Press). She is Poetry Editor of the Women's Studies Quarterly and a member of Malìa: A Collective of Italian American Women. |
